Nearly went Xmas shopping but couldn't face it... Spur of the moment decision found me arriving at Ynyslas at 12.30. High tide... Gave the Van heater another testing(!) till about 1.45 and then managed to get out on my 9m Xbow. Wind was bit squally and several rain showers during the 1-2 hours I was out. Was making heavy going of getting out through the surf to start with but got into the groove after a while. Overpowered at times but couldn't be bothered to change kite. I think I'm better at tackling breaking waves with my right leg leading (probably because of the seemingly more common SW wind direction at Ynyslas). So it was good practice. Drysuit great but could do with dry gloves this time of the year so driven in by numb fingers eventually. Fingers warmed up now with that satisfying tingling feeling to remind me that the Irish sea is chilly...
